Mark Erelli is a critically acclaimed American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his distinctive blend of rock, folk, and Americana. His music is known for its lyrical depth and intricate instrumentation, drawing influence from classic rock icons.
Karen Mueller is one of the top autoharp and mountain dulcimer players performing today. Her exciting and innovative performing style, featuring Appalachian, Celtic and contemporary music, has been applauded by critics and audiences from LA to Boston. Adding hot mandolin and guitar picking along with soaring tenor vocals, Geoff Goodhue has been playing music all his life, first in The Goodhues Band and later with a number of groups including the Bryan Bowers Band, which have taken him to performance venues across the US. Karen and Geoff have performed together spontaneously at festivals for several years and are now combining forces as a duo. Expect great picking and tight harmony singing that is sure to entertain.
Wayne Long and Arthetta Faye are contemporary performers with eclectic roots deep in Americana. Their melodic style is the result of a magical combination comprised of very different influences, from the guitar finger-picking of John Hurt, Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, to the high lonesome sounds of bluegrass and the innovative autoharp of Maybelle Carter. Wayne is a fluent instrumentalist on both modern flat-top and vintage resophonic guitars, and Arthetta’s autoharp and vocals provide a surprisingly effective counterpoint, for a beautiful, intoxicating, and unexpected blend of traditions. Whether they are playing traditional folk or modern country, country blues or original compositions, their music is sheer listening pleasure at its finest.
Bruce Marshall’s music career spans five decades and the singer, songwriter, guitarist has been a full time musician his entire adult life. He went National with guitarist Toy Caldwell in ‘89, touring the US with Charlie Daniels and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He’ll be the emcee for this Community Open Mic. Acoustic musicians and singers welcome – solos, duos or small trios. Sign-ups start at 6:30pm. Learn more here.
